This painting was inspired by the Nooksack River, which flows through Whatcom County, WA, the area that I call my home. During the fall months this river can become very full and flowy due to consistent rainy days. I wanted to capture the mood of a fall day on the river, with the water quickly running over rocks and the view of foggy mountains looming over.
